Audrey McManiman is a Canadian snowboard cross athlete renowned for her perseverance and authenticity. Originally from Lanaudière, she grew up on a dairy farm where she developed a deep attachment to the outdoors and physical effort. At the age of nine, she discovered snowboarding on her cousin's old snowboard: it was love at first sight that never left her.
Her progress was meteoric. Trained at the Val Saint-Côme ski school, she joined the Quebec team and then the Canadian slopestyle development team. Audrey distinguished herself on the international scene with, among other things, two appearances at the Junior World Championships and a gold medal at the first Youth Olympic Games in 2012.
In 2016, a concussion put an end to her slopestyle and big air career. Refusing to give up, Audrey reinvented herself in snowboard cross and made a name for herself in her first season, becoming Canadian and North American champion in 2017. As a kinesiology student at Université Laval, she puts her knowledge of the human body to good use in her performance. In 2021, she realizes a dream by joining the main Canadian snowboard cross team, determined to push back her limits and inspire with her resilience.
Always on the move, each training session feeds my passion and my love of surpassing myself.
A meteoric rise from the junior podium to the most prestigious international competitions.
